Digital Journalism Reflection

Digital Journalism Reflection Reflecting back on our mission this one definitely wasnt easy and we didn't completely follow the brief that was given. Our information was spot on in my opinion and we had some great information in our powerpoint but unfortunately, it wasnt helpful because we needed it to be in our video. Our video also neede narration which we didn't notice we needed when reading the brief. If we were to do this mission again we would definitely read the brief more carefully. We just assumed that like all the other missions we id this one needed a powerpoint with a link to the video but we assumed wrong. This mission although it was very difficult to understand and we didn't read the brief carefully I enjoyed making the video and getting together to discuss what we were going to do and seeing it all come together slowly over time. I think if we double-checked the brief and what was needed we could have got a satisfactory or even an excellent because we rea

Digital Jounalism Product

Digital Journalism Product After gathering all our information we neede to decide what we were going to do our video on we had a couple of different options like interviewing people on the streets, a radio interview or screen recording of interviewing people on their phones through screen recordings, We decided to go with the third option because we thought it showed how addicted people were to their phones and how we cant interview people face to face because we are so addicted to our phones. After we got screen recordings we added them all to premiere pro and edited them and cut out all the unesccesary parts that we didn't think was important to our video. While we made the video we also worked on a powerpoint to go with our video but soon realised that we didn't need a powerpoint and we just neede a video but it was too late so all the information we gathered for our powerpoint was useless and wasnt added to ur video and we should have read the brief more carefully so we

Digital Jounalisim Process

Digital JOunalisim I chose this mission because it stood out to me out of all the other missions that were available at this time, FIrst, I read through the mission on the website and I looked at each task that was given to us to see what the goal was and what our goal as a group would be. As a group of three, we gathered up through the course of the few weeks and e=decied what we were going to do we planned it out and had to read it a couple of times to see what we were going to do. Then we decided to do it on-screen times and how addicted people were to their phones so we decided as a group to find out people screen times on their phones and to ask them some questions about what they use their phones for etc.  We came up with multiple different questions such as, “do you depend on your phone?” “how many hours are you on your phone every day?” “could you go a day without your phone?” “what’s the first app you open up when you wake up?” and “what’s the app you use the most”. We gath

Digital Privacy Reflection

Digital Privacy Reflection After presenting our project it was clear that there wasnt proof of work. Those 20 hours we spent on this project seemed to be thrown out the window. Especially compared to the other digital privacy missions. Although there was a lot of information that was interesting there was also some that were very boring and didn't really hold your attention and was just very bland. One thing we could have done was show how your digital privacy is being used somehow on our phones like tracking the ads we get or finding out the information they know about us and our lives. Reflecting back on the project it didn't really stand out an out was more words on a google doc rather than something that stood out. The google doc could have also had a few more images and have been more colourful to keep the attention rather than all of the information sitting on a white background with lines and lines of black text. It would have been a better presentation if we had some

Digital Privacy Product

Digital privacy After hours of work and spending 20 plus hours we were finished or were we? The finished product was not very finished as we didn't do anything to show what we did to show digital privacy other than watch the movie and combine our ideas. The final product was more information based then tasked based we spent more time finding out information than doing something to show how digital privacy works. The google doc was also very plain and boring in my opinion it lacked colour and I felt as though it may have to disengage the audience as it was more reading from the slides about what we found out and what we researched. IF we showed something we did relate to digital journalism we could have engaged the audience more and held their attention instead of them listening to our voices for 10 plus minutes. Although i was happy with the work we produced and felt relieved after doing all the work it was definitely lacking a lot of information and felt very lack luster after w

Digital Privacy Process

Digital privacy This mission really grabbed my attention out of all the other missions. Something that we can all use a bit more knowledge on and I was willing to find out more about it. First, ur group started off as a trio but soon became a duo when someone in the group left to join another group because they "had no work to do". So I and Killian decided to continue doing digital privacy and began to read up about it with the suggested tasks and goal. We wanted to focus on finding out more about digital privacy and teaching more people about how to look after their digital privacy in different ways and how important it is to protect your digital privacy. We both took three tasks each given to us that Shaun suggested on the website and decided to write it ou on a google doc. We also saw there was a movie that was linked on the website so we decided to watch that movie and report back to each other about what we learned from the movie to add to our presentation. The proces

Digital Audio reflection

Digital Audio reflection reflecting back on our mission there is a lot where we could have improved. There's always room to improve. First ill start off with the powerpoint it wasn't really a collaborative process we kind of took our own tasks and went with that instead of all chiming in on each topic that we had chosen and what we should keep and what we should remove. Also talking about the history of podcast could have been removed and wasn't really necessary in finding out information apart from what they did do with a podcast in the past but that wasn't helpful with us creating the podcast. We needed more of how to create a podcast instead of looking up when podcasts came about. Also in the how-to cast were created in the powerpoint I think we had one too many slides making it feel as though it is too long and just dragged on I could feel it dragging on as I presented it. When making the podcast it could have been a bit longer than what we had and flowed more l
